SPRING 2015 PROJECTS:

Completed:

  • Build 28'x12' shelter for work site on driveway.
  • Re Soak transom with Rot Doctor's Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealant (CPES).
    • Use squeeze bottle with clear tubing to insert into crevasses above inner transom and saturate/fill into gaps etc.
    • Remove top transom rub rail screws around splash well, drill and soak with CPES.  Fill gaps with thickened epoxy.  Install screws into epoxy.
    • Use Rot Doctor's Epoxy Clean up Solvent (ECS), to clean up all over flow.
  • Drill extra drain hole in belly tank compartment, soak/seal exposed wood with penetrating epoxy and install pvc tube with 5200.
  • New stern jump seat cushions: Auto Trim Specialists, Denver, CO.
    • Yorktown/Tan antiqued marine vinyl is a perfect match for this 35yr old boat.
    • I cut and 1/2" and 3/4" birch wood panels, sealed with CPES.
  • Install 40 gallon belly tank into compartment, new hoses.
    • Remove 5/16" line from well to engine and install new 3/8" line and filter at motor.
    • Install new 4 way brass fuel switch to well, connect to tanks and engine.
    • Install new 14' of 1+1/2" ID Fuel Fill hose from below deck to fill port on Starboard bow.
    • Drain tank, remove from below deck, clean out with manual swab on stick, remove fittings, install new fittings, reinstall tank below deck.  Seal deck.
  • Renovate Electronics:  Best Marine, Arvada, CO.
    • Clean out extra wires, broken guages, switches, etc.
    • Activate: tach with new harness, volt meter, fuel gauge, temp, speedo at helm(using GPS on chartplotter).
    • Activate: nav lights, anchor, deck and cabin lights.
    • Activate: electric windshield wiper.
    • Install dual battery switch and two batteries at port aft.
  • Remove old bimini track, replace with longer new chrome track, sliders, and end caps.
  • Install new 14" wiper blade.
  • Protect seat cushion corners and edges with fabric or plastic tabs.
  • Clean old silicone off rub rails.  Re Seal with new Silicone bead.
  • Patch gel coat dings on hull.
  • Seal deck hatches.
  • Purchase, install chartplotter, sonar, side scan transducers, wiring, and mounting bracket.
  • Install under gunnel, LED lighting, and wire to helm switch.
To Do:
  • Epoxy repair teak wood rod holder that got broken during electronics renovation.
  • Treat teak trim with Teak Oil.
  • Remove, clean, reseal/bed tow hook on bow.
